Product Overview

The Runthrough NS Floppy Guidewire is developed for routine and moderately complex coronary interventional procedures. It adopts the seamless Duo Core dual-core welded structure. The proximal stainless steel delivers powerful pushability and structural strength, while the flat memory nitinol core at the distal end enhances flexibility, kink resistance and shape retention. It realizes lossless full-length torque transmission and synchronous response to rotation commands. The guidewire adopts a zoned coating design: the main distal shaft is covered with M-COAT hydrophilic coating, which forms a lubricating film quickly when contacting body fluid to reduce vascular friction and facilitate crossing stenosis and tortuous tracts. The 2 mm uncoated silicone tip retains authentic tactile sensation, preventing tip prolapse caused by excessive slipperiness and improving intraoperative control. The 3 cm high-visibility radiopaque marker enables real-time monitoring of insertion depth and position for precise operation. With an ultra-low 1 gf tip load, the ultra-soft distal end minimizes risks of coronary perforation, endothelial injury and vascular spasm. The wire features outstanding kink resistance and fatigue resistance, allowing use for multiple vessels and reducing wire exchanges. With a standard 0.014 inch outer diameter, it is fully compatible with mainstream coronary balloons, stents and catheters worldwide. Sterilized by ethylene oxide, this single-use sterile device is ideal for daily interventional work in catheterization labs of all medical institutions.

Key Highlights

  • Duo Core Dual-core Technology: Seamless combination of stainless steel and nitinol alloy balances pushability, flexibility and 1:1 precise torque response for superior manipulability.
  • Zoned Coating Design: Distal M-COAT hydrophilic coating reduces friction; 2 mm uncoated silicone tip retains tactile feedback to prevent tip prolapse and enhance safety.
  • 1 gf Ultra-soft Atraumatic Tip: Ultra-low tip load avoids vascular perforation and spasm, suitable for fragile coronary vessels.
  • Memory Alloy Shaping Performance: Flat nitinol core is easy to shape and maintains configuration stably without rebound deformation.
  • High-visibility Radiopaque Marker: 3 cm platinum-nickel radiopaque segment ensures clear fluoroscopic imaging for accurate positioning and depth control.
  • Excellent Kink Resistance: Integrated composite structure resists repeated bending and keeps stable in tortuous vessels.
  • Universal Standard Size: Industry-standard 0.014 inch outer diameter, fully compatible with all kinds of coronary interventional devices.
  • Durable Construction: Wear-resistant tip supports multi-vessel procedures with one wire, reducing consumable costs.

Technical Specifications & Construction

This guidewire adopts Duo Core dual-core structure and zoned coating. A 3 cm platinum-nickel radiopaque segment is equipped at the distal end. It has a standard 0.014 inch outer diameter and two regular lengths with straight shapeable tip. Sterilized by ethylene oxide, it is individually packed for single use, and a shaping tool is included as standard.

Typical Clinical Applications

As a universal workhorse guidewire for coronary intervention, this product is not intended for cerebral vascular procedures. It is widely used in cardiology and interventional departments:

  • Routine Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI) and Percutaneous Transluminal Coronary Angioplasty (PTCA)
  • Coronary angiography and establishment & maintenance of basic vascular access
  • Crossing moderately tortuous coronary vessels and diffuse stenotic lesions
  • Interventional operations for non-calcified, non-occlusive complex coronary lesions and bifurcation lesions
  • Delivery and dilatation of balloon catheters, as well as delivery and implantation of coronary stents
  • Multi-device exchange and sequential intervention for multiple vessels during procedures
  • Coronary procedures for fragile vessels requiring strict endothelial protection

Quality Assurance & Compliance

Patient safety and consistent clinical performance are our core priorities. The Runthrough NS Floppy Guidewire is manufactured in internationally standardized cleanrooms in strict accordance with the ISO 13485 medical device quality management system. Every batch undergoes rigorous tests including torque response, coating adhesion, bending fatigue, tip shape durability, biocompatibility and sterility to guarantee stable performance of torque transmission, trackability and visualization. The product holds complete import registration qualifications and international certifications such as FDA and CE. It complies with global safety standards for coronary interventional devices and meets market access requirements of medical institutions worldwide.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

1. What are the advantages of the zoned coating design of this guidewire?

The distal hydrophilic coating greatly reduces crossing friction and improves crossability for stenotic and tortuous vessels. The 2 mm uncoated silicone tip retains authentic tactile feedback, effectively preventing excessive slippage and tip prolapse, combining smoothness and operational safety.

2. Can this guidewire be sterilized and reused?

No. This is a single-use sterile medical device. Re-sterilization and reuse will damage the hydrophilic coating, dual-core structure and tip performance, leading to increased friction and torque failure. It may cause vascular injury and cross-infection. Reuse is strictly prohibited.

3. Do you support global bulk orders and customized services?

Absolutely. We cooperate with professional international logistics providers to fulfill global B2B orders. Custom packaging and complete compliance documents are available. Please inform us of your specifications and quantity, and we will provide a customized quote and estimated lead time.
